Claude / Anthropic Suspends Access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5

Anthropic has announced the suspension of access to its advanced AI models, Claude Fable 5 and Claude Mythos 5, following a U.S. government export-control directive. The order requires Anthropic to block access for all foreign nationals, citing national security concerns related to a reported method of bypassing the models’ safety safeguards. To comply, the company has temporarily disabled both models for all customers worldwide, while other Claude models remain available. Anthropic stated that it disagrees with the directive, believes the identified vulnerability is limited in scope, and is working to restore access as quickly as possible.
