ChatGPT gets ‘better’: Here are the changes coming to the AI chatbot

ChatGPT-maker OpenAI has said that it has improved the chatbot’s underlying AI language model by fine-tuning its capabilities. As a result, the AI chatbot will provide better answers in math, logical reasoning and coding, among others.
“Our new GPT-4 Turbo is now available to paid ChatGPT users. We’ve improved capabilities in writing, math, logical reasoning, and coding,” OpenAI said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

The Microsoft-backed company launched the GPT-4 Turbo last year with faster and higher quality responses as compared to GPT-4. One of the reasons for this was the training on data till November 2023.
How ChatGPT has ‘improved’

As per the company, when writing with ChatGPT, “responses will be more direct, less verbose, and use more conversational language.”
“We continue to invest in making our models better and look forward to seeing what you do. If you haven’t tried it yet, GPT-4 Turbo is available in ChatGPT Plus, Team, Enterprise, and the API,” OpenAI said.

Company CEO Sam Altman said that GPT-4 is “now significantly smarter and more pleasant to use.”

GPT-4 Turbo with Vision
Recently, OpenAI announced that the GPT-4 Turbo with Vision is now available in ChatGPT. This model allows users to input photos and ask the AI chatbot to process and analyse to return a response in a textual format.

“Majorly improved GPT-4 Turbo model available now in the API and rolling out in ChatGPT,” the company recently said in a post on X.

For example, if you find a photo of a ‘big cat’ but don’t know about its origins, you can upload the photo in ChatGPT and ask the AI chatbot to provide you information about it.
